Party members will cast their ballots on March 9th.
OTTAWA - The Liberal leadership race has officially begun.
The National Board of Directors established the rules last night. Potential candidates have until January 23rd to declare their intent to run and they have to pay a $350,000 entry fee.
Those who would like to vote in the face must register as a Liberal party member by January 27th. You also have to be at least 14-years-old and be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or have status under the Indian Act.
Justin Trudeau announced his plans to resign earlier this week. He will step down as Prime Minister and Liberal party leader once a new party leader is selected.
On March 9th – make your voice heard.
