Summer StreetFest isn't until August, but local business are already making preparations.
WOODSTOCK - Several local businesses are already starting to get ready for the Summer StreetFest coming up in August.
Every year the City of Woodstock closes down a section of Dundas Street to allow for street vendors, live entertainment, a petting zoo and so much more.
This year StreetFest is happening from August 6th to the 9th. Councillor Shawn Shapton tells Heart FM Woodstock City Council has approved a couple of liquor license extensions for the festival. "We have approved five vendors that will be able to have extended outdoor patios and sell liquor on them, Charles Dickens Pub, Crabby Joes Tap and Grill, The Dairy Capital, Riffs Music Lounge and Jack-O's Sports Bar were all approved by City Council."
The extension will allow them to sell liquor on the extended patio from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday and then until 4 p.m. on the Sunday.
StreetFest promises to be huge this year with over 30 live entertainment acts lined up and tons of local businesses downtown on board.
