Oxford Baptist Church is trying to help grieving families with hope boxes.
WOODSTOCK - Grieving families are being provided with hope.
Oxford Baptist Church has been giving out hope boxes to the families.
Co-Coordinator of Hope Boxes, Elisha Kroeker says the boxes are for those who have lost someone young in the family.
"It's a box that we prepare for moms and families who have recently lost an infant, or have had miscarriage or pregnancy loss. We include a lot of community and Christian resources in the box to help them with their grief."
The boxes are filled with community and Christian resources to help families with their grief.
Kroeker says different families have found different parts of the box has helped them the most.
"A lot of people say different things in the box help them and the items also are helpful in the long run too. So there might be something in there that helps immediately with their grief but then as they go through the box then they find that there's other things that help them through those things."
The church will be holding a craft fundraiser on August 13th from 7pm to 9pm.
The event will be to help raise money for the hope boxes by selling folded books.
