The 60th anniversary of the JFK assassination is fast approaching and it's going to be the topic of the next Local History Speaker Series event.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County Library and Oxford County Archives are excited to announce the newest installment in the new Local History Speaker Series.
On Wednesday November 8th, the Tillsonburg Branch is hosting Randy Owen, who is a renowned expert on John F. Kennedy.
Digital Literacy and Local History Technician, Matthew Griffis says the in-person event is full, but you can still see the event.
"We decided to try something new, and this is a first for the speaker series. We are going to livestream it over Zoom, so if folks would like to participate that way they can. Registration is required for the live stream option too."
Griffis says it has been 60 years since the JFK assassination.
"We thought the subject would make a great addition to our Local History Speaker Series. Randy will present here at the Tillsonburg Library on Wednesday, November 8th from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m."
Randy Owen is a Tillsonburg resident and is renowned for his knowledge of JFK.
You can register online here or at the Tillsonburg library.
