A local Dads group in Oxford County is making sure kids can get their letters to Santa this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - The ongoing Canada Post strike will not stop Santa from getting letters.
Dads of Oxford County is partnering with local businesses to allow kids to drop off letters and have the opportunity to get a letter back from Jolly Old Saint Nick—Co-organizer of Dad of Oxford County, Jeremy Ward on how the idea came to be.
"I kind of came up with the idea. I reached out to Chad about it and we are now as of this morning up to 14 local businesses that have reached out and offered space within their business to host a Santa's Letter dropbox."
Ward says letters can be dropped off starting today.
"So, we will be having these drop boxes in the local businesses until Sunday, December 15th and on Monday, December 16th we're planning to return to all the local businesses and pick up all of Santa's letters."
He mentions they are delivering the letters to Santa, and both he and his elves will be working hard to write back to every child. Once the letters are complete, the group will pick them up and deliver them back to where they need to go. Ward adds it is important you write a return address on the letter so that Santa can make sure it gets back to the proper child.
You can drop off letters in Woodstock at Early Bird Coffee, Bobar Beverage, Beantown Coffee, Jarful Refillery, Potter & Mill, Rosso Barbershop, Happy Hippo, Soulful Spoon, Revel Realty, and the Womb.
In Ingersoll, Titos Pizza is accepting letters, while Bettys Marketplace in Tillsonburg is also a part of the campaign.
