Local Police Briefs - Friday December 31st

The WPS has charged a 32-year-old man after a vehicle hit a house on Henry Street Wednesday night. The Oxford OPP is also investigating after the lug nuts were stolen off two vehicles in Tillsonburg Tuesday afternoon.

WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid after a vehicle hit a house in Woodstock

Woodstock Police say the westbound GMC pickup truck lost control on Henry Street Wednesday night and hit the side of the home.

There is no word of any injuries. The driver was a 32-year-old man from Woodstock and he has been charged with impaired driving and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

TILLSONBURG - The Oxford OPP is investigating after the lug nuts were stolen off the wheels of two vehicles in Tillsonburg.

They got the call Tuesday afternoon and police say the both of the affected vehicles were parked in the parking lot of a residence on Erie Court when the theft happened. A hub cap was also taken.

Police say this theft could have had devastating effects for the drivers of these vehicles along with other innocent drivers on the roads.

Anyone with information should call the Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.

WOODSTOCK - Several tools have been reported stolen following two separate break and enter thefts in the Friendly City.

Woodstock Police responded to the first theft at warehouse on Main Street on Saturday. The second theft happened on King Street after someone broke into a locked trailer and the WPS responded to that call yesterday.

Anyone with information should call Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is investigating a case of mischief on Finkle Street.

Multiple mailboxes were damaged sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday and police are looking for two male suspects.
