57 thousand 325 dollars and 50 cents! That's how much money was raised at the 18th annual Woodstock Walk For Memories for the Alzheimer's society of Oxford County. At the end of the event awards were presented to the top donation earners. The Mason family raised 4690 dollars. And 88 year young Myrtle Jouffret raised a remarkable 3179 dollars. Jouffret talked with Heart FM after the event and said she is still receiving more donations. Over 300 walkers participated in the walk, including Mayor Pat Sobeski. Sobeski told Heart FM, "Events like the Walk For Memories for Alzheimer's is one example of the many community events that receives tremendous support." Mayor Sobeski added, "It's an example of why Woodstock is such a great community." One of the highlights of the walk was when the participants each grabbed a lit candle and walked around the track while Joanne Does sang her hit song I'll walk you home.
