A bottle drive is taking place in Ingersoll in hopes of raising enough money to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for the family of 4-year-old Lincon Bechard.
INGERSOLL - Save your empties as a bottle drive is happening this month Town of Ingersoll for 4 year old Lincon Bechard.
Lincon is a happy little boy, but his life changed drastically when he had a stroke, brain injury at 14 months old and had to get an emergency decompressive craniectomy. He spent 2 months in the ICU and 1 month in rehabilitation and at first they said he wouldn't make it, and if he did, he wouldn't have much brain capacity.
Lincon currently lives with severe disabilities and is in a wheel chair full time. He has severe epilepsy, is legally blind and hemiplegia on the right side.
His family is trying to raise funds so they can purchase a wheelchair accessible van for his 5th birthday on October 13th.
The bottle drive starts today, June 7th to the 20th and they will be collecting bottles at Lincon's home at 345 King Street West.
You can also purchase an I wear green t-shirt from R&B Creations online here and $10 will go to support the family. June is brain injury awareness month and Lincon's mom, Chloe Ribaric is asking everyone to share their I wear green because on the Love for Lincon Facebook page.
