April showers are in the forecast for Oxford County over the next 48-hours. Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for most of southern Ontario, calling to 50-80mm of rain by Thursday. It's started out as light rain this afternoon, but will increase in intensity tonight, and will likely be accompanied by thunderstorms. The showers will continue throughout the day Wednesday, then changing to freezing rain, or even snowfall on Thursday and Friday. All the moisture has both the Upper Thames and Grand River Conservation Authorities warning of the potential for flooding. They'll be monitoring the situation, and Heart FM will post flood and safety bulletins as needed.
