OXFORD COUNTY - According to Environment Canada, Oxford County is expected to get hit with a major wind storm.
Environment Canada says very strong winds gusts as high as 110 km/h will begin this morning in the wake of a sharp arctic cold front blasting across the region.
The winds are expected to end near midnight.
The winds will continue this evening, then will gradually end near midnight, except near Lakes Erie and Huron where they may continue through most of the night.
Damage to buildings and power outages may occur. The high winds may also toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break.
