Woodstock Police have charged a 24 year old man with animal cruelty have one cat died and a second was severely injured.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have charged a 24 year old man with two counts of animal cruelty.
On Tuesday a pet owner in the city was told by the man their cat had died. They were also notified that another cat was injured.
According to police, upon receiving this information the pet owner rushed to the feline’s location and took the cats to an animal hospital.
The deceased cat had a broken jaw, suffered severe head trauma and was bleeding from its nose.
The other cat also suffered a broken jaw and had bruising on its ear. The cat also suffered major trauma to its nails, possibly from trying to get away.
He has a Woodstock court date in late May and the SPCA has been notified.
Police have not revealed his name to the public.
