ONTARIO - Brian Lilley from the Toronto Sun is reporting that the Ford Government will indeed push back March Break.
An official announcement is expected later this week.
Lilley, citing Government sources says the Province is considering three options, including moving march break to April, delaying it until May or ending the school year five days early in June. The biggest concern right now is the spread of several new variants of the virus, specifically the variant that originated in the UK.
Teachers unions have made it clear they do not support this and delaying the March Break would be a breach of contract. They say both teachers and students need the break to happen as scheduled for fear of burnout.
