Mass Chicknapping Case in Huron County

About 30,000 chicks were stolen from a farm in South Huron earlier this week.

SOUTH HURON - The Huron OPP has launched an investigation after about 30,000 baby chicks were stolen from a farm in South Huron.

Police believe the theft happened sometime between 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 19th and 2:20 a.m. on Thursday April 20th.

The chicks were 15 days old and they're valued at $1.40 each. This brings the total value of the theft to $42,000.
