After a quick foot chase on Friday afternoon police arrested two men and seized over $32,000 in purple fentanyl, cocaine and crystal meth.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested two men after a big drug bust on Friday afternoon.
Police were searching for a wanted person when they tried to pull over a car on Industrial Avenue around 2:30 pm. The vehicle fled from police at a high rate of speed and was later found abandoned.
Officers were able to track down the two suspects and arrested a 32 year old man from Innerkip on outstanding warrants. The 18 year old driver was also picked up after a quick foot chase.
Jahvon Walker of Waterloo was arrested and charged with the following:
- Dangerous Operation
- Flight from Peace Officer
- Operation While Prohibited Under the Criminal Code
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (Other than Heroin)
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
A search warrant was carried out and an amount of purple fentanyl, crystal meth, cocaine and other drug paraphernalia were seized. The total street value of the seizure was $32,780 worth of drugs and $2,330.00 of Canadian currency.
