A lawyer representing Woodstock Mayor Trevor Birtch appeared in a virtual London courtroom this morning.
UPDATE: Mayor Trevor Birtch will answer to all of the assault charges laid against him on the same date.
During his virtual court appearance this morning, Birtch's lawyer James Battin requested that the matter be adjourned to July 4th because he has other matters to answer to on that date.
The request was granted by the judge. The judge said the purpose of the next court date will be for reviewing disclosure and instructions.

WOODSTOCK/LONDON - The Mayor of Woodstock has another court appearance scheduled for today.
Trevor Birtch is scheduled to appear in a virtual courtroom at the London courthouse at 9:30 a.m. today to answer to a charge of assault and two counts of sexual assault.
London Police originally charged him with assault, sexual assault and sexual assault with choking back in February, but it was announced during his court appearance last month that the sexual assault with choking charge had been dropped and replaced with a second charge of sexual assault.
Heart FM will be covering today's court appearance and will be posting updates as soon as they are available.
London Police laid more charges against Mayor Birtch back in April in relation to a separate incident. He was charged with three counts of sexual assault and he will answer to those charges on July 4th.
