David Mayberry would like to serve a fourth term as the Mayor of South-West Oxford.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - David Mayberry is looking to serve another term as the Mayor of South-West Oxford.
He has served as the Mayor for three terms, and served as the Warden of Oxford County for one term. He was also a Township Councillor for ten years before that.
"We've done a very really good job I think, looking at energy efficiency as far as cost saving and reinvesting saved dollars into the next level of efficiency. There's much to do in the future, but at least we're heading in the right direction."
He says he would like to continue plans to improve housing and rebuild roads for the long term.
"We've been doing a lot of work around planning for the future, such as what housing should look like in South-West Oxford. We're always looking at how to be more efficient and meet the requirements and recommendations of the province and the federal government."
He would also like to improve broadband and bring high-speed internet to the people of South-West Oxford.
The municipal election will take place October 24th.
