TILLSONBURG - Southwestern Public Health is reporting another case of measles exposure in Oxford County.
This one was at the RBC on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30pm on Tuesday February 18th, Wednesday February 19th and Thursday February 20th.
If you were at the bank during that time and you were born in 1970 or later, you should call the health unit if you're not up to date on your vaccinations. The phone number is 1-800-922-0096 and you should use extension 1232.
Public Health officials say measles is highly contagious and it can linger in the air for up to two hours.
Ontario has a whole is experiencing it's largest measles outbreak in 30 years. Health officials have reported 78 new measles cases over the past two weeks, which brings the provinces total cases for the year to just over 140. Only 101 infections were reported in Ontario between 2013 and 2023.
