Merchants take down Travellers in Holiday matchup
The Norwich Merchants battled it out in Delhi on Boxing Day.
The Merchants skated away with the 3-1 victory over the Travellers as they hold on to third place in the Mid-west Jr C league, three points behind New Hamburg and Paris who are tied for second.
It's the Battle of Highway 59 Friday night in Norwich. The Merchants are hosting the Navy Vets for the second matchup of the season. The two teams last met up on December 17th. Norwich dominated that game with a 5-1 win over Woodstock. The Vets are sitting last place in the league standings with only 7 points, two points behind Delhi.
