The Middlesex OPP have announced their Detachment Commander.
LONDON - Middlesex OPP have a new boss.
Inspector Dean Croker is the new commander of the Middlesex OPP detachment. The announcement was made on Friday. Inspector Croker has been working with the OPP since 1988, where he was posted in the Sioux His service continued at the South Porcupine and Iroquois Falls detachments, with part-time assignments on the Emergency Response Team and as well as the In-Service Training Unit. He has also instructed at the OPP Provincial Police Academy in Orillia.
Croker joined the OPP West Region Tactics and Rescue unit where he was promoted to Sergeant and then eventually Staff Sergeant. He then moved to the Chatham Kent detachment where he was named the Sergeant-Detachment Commander and most recently served with the Huron County OPP as an acting Inspector.
Croker says he is looking forward to his new role at the Middlesex OPP.
"Having lived and worked in various roles within Middlesex County over the past 14 years, it is an absolute privilege and honour to serve as the Middlesex OPP Detachment Commander. The Inspector assumed his new role in December 2018, and is looking forward to working with the community.
Chief Superintendent and Regional Commander for the OPP West Region John Cain says they chose Croker after an extensive interview process.
"Inspector Croker has been a valued member of West Region for many years. He brings a wealth of front-line and operational experience with him to the Middlesex Detachment, and will be a tremendous benefit to the members and the community."
