Both councils have voted in favour of Option 1, which covers the minimum area needed for the realignment of Patullo Ave.
WOODSTOCK/NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Boundary adjustment discussions continue between the City of Woodstock and the Township of Norwich.
Norwich Council voted in favour of Option 1 during its meeting last Tuesday, also known as the minimalist approach. This means 106.55 acres of land at the corner of Patullo Ave and Greenly Line would be impacted by the adjustment. It's the minimum area needed for Woodstock to realign Patullo Ave.
Norwich also added a few conditions to the deal which include Woodstock covering all of the legal fees, conducting more public consultation, and cross-border servicing
Woodstock Council reviewed this resolution Thursday night. It also voted in favour of Option 1 and the conditions Norwich asked for, except for the cross-border servicing.
The matter will now go back to Norwich Council. If it's approved, another public meeting will be held to gather input on the updated proposal.
