INGERSOLL - CAMI is expanding its workforce.
The General Motors assembly facility is working on a 400,000 square-foot plant, which will be used to build battery modules. It is expected that this addition will be up and operational in the second quarter of 2024.
This expansion will help with the current battery shortage they are facing which has forced a shutdown. In addition, to helping battle the shortage, the expansion will add nearly 300 new jobs, which will move the workforce at the plant to close to 1800 employees.
The job postings for this expansion are expected to be released in the near future.
