WOODSTOCK - The Mortgage Centre Hometown Financial has donated over $7,000 to local charities.
Yesterday they presented two cheques of $3,750 to Domestic Abuse Services Oxford and an animal rescue called Paws Across the Water.
Mortgage Broker Julie Brenneman says they donate to local charities every year.
"Every year we change the charity that we give to, last year we did $50 per mortgage close and it was to Sakura House. We decided that because we are starting to pick up in volume, we decided to spread it around this year, which is why we donated to two charities."
Brenneman says they are already starting to think about next year.
"Anybody who is coming in to do a mortgage with us, if they have any suggestions of which charities, they would like use to donate to, we are open for suggestions and we look forward to supporting some local charities next year as well."
