The Oxford OPP responded to a disturbance in the Township of Norwich and laid numerous charges.
TOWNSHIP OF NORWICH - A 19-year-old Township of Norwich resident is in hot water.
Oxford OPP responded to an assault on Wednesday at 5:45 a.m. at an address in the Township of Norwich. While taking the suspect into custody, they assaulted multiple officers. None of the officers assaulted were injured, and there were no other injuries reported as a result of the disturbance.
The 19-year-old is facing two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of assault of a Peace Officer, resisting a Peace Officer, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, taking a motor vehicle without consent, and failure to comply with a release order. The accused was held for a bail hearing and has been remanded into custody.
