If you're a history buff who loves cheese... the next Lunch and Learn at the Norwich Museum is just for you.
NORWICH - The next installment of Lunch and Learn at the Norwich Museum is going to be a little cheesy.
Dr. Hayley Goodchild will drive in from Peterbourgh on Wednesday, in order to talk about the history of the Ontario cheese business.
The Norwich Museum is one of the stops on the Oxford County Cheese Trail, but Historical Society Director Ruth Story says that's not the only reason they selected this topic.
"The diary industry has been a major part of this area, with historically many cheese factories in the area."
Gunn's Hill Artisan Cheese is even donating a cheese tray for the occasion. Soup and salad will also be served afterwards.
The Norwich Historical Society holds these Lunch and Learn events on the second Wednesday every month, with a new topic every time.
Story says they have become quite popular with the seniors.
"We started them two years ago and they've always had about 30 or 40 people usually at the event."
The next session will take place between 11am and 2pm. Free will donations will also be accepted at the door.
