The Toronto Maple Leafs say Jake Muzzin will be off the ice for the rest of the NHL season and the playoffs due to a cervical spine injury.
NHL - Woodstock's Jake Muzzin has been ruled out for the rest of the 2022-2023 NHL season and playoffs.
The Toronto Maple Leafs made the announcement yesterday, adding another update on his status will be provided once training camp begins this September.
The defenceman suffered a cervical spine injury during the Leafs game against the Arizona Coyotes on October 17th. He collided with Coyotes forward Clayton Keller and had to leave the game in the second period. The Leafs lost the game 4-2.
Before his injury, Muzzin was able to play four games with the Leafs and he recorded one assist.
