The Navy Vets will start their season in October, but the Doherty Division will look a lot different this year with Ayr and Paris moving on to other leagues.
WOODSTOCK - After a long layoff, the Woodstock Navy Vets will return to the ice in October as the PJHL announced a return to the hockey season.
The Board of Governors has set a start date of October 1. The Doherty division schedule is being worked on and it will look a lot different this year.
Ayr is moving into the GOJHL and Paris is switching to the new OHA Senior AA Graduate league, so a couple of the main rivals for the Navy Vets will be playing elsewhere next season. The future of the Delhi Travellers is still up in the air as well.
The remaining teams are working to build their rosters. Things will look different in 2021, as a lot of players missed an entire year of development and it will make player evaluations tougher.
Heart FM will be speaking with the Navy Vets throughout the summer and keep you posted on their plans, but the good news is that hockey is set to return to the Friend City in the Fall.
