SWPH health region has administered over 126,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines and 72.8% of adults 18+ have been given a first dose.
Nearly 3/4 of the adult population, 18+ in the Southwestern Public Health Region has gotten at least one dose of the vaccine.
SWPH is reporting 72.8% of adults 18+ with at least one dose, this compares with 75.2% of adults 18+ in Ontario. The Province uses the data of 18+ because it is one of the indicators they use as part of the reopening Ontario Roadmap.
When you look at the population as a whole for the SWPH region, including children, 59.3% of the population have been given one dose of the vaccine. Only 8.1% of the SWPH region has been given two doses, a total of 17,347 people.
Across the country 3/4 of eligible Canadians have been given one dose of the vaccine. After yesterdays total the country has now administered over 24.75 million first doses.
