Rodger Mordue is officially behind the desk as the new CAO/Clerk in Blandford Blenheim.
BLANDFORD BLENHEIM - Rodger Mordue is now taking orders from Blandford Blenheim council instead of giving them.
Mordue started Monday as the new CAO/Clerk.
Mordue says he has had a long connection with the Township.
Mordue says the timing was perfect to revitalize his career and to return to where it all started. "I certainly bring many years of knowledge of the area, knowledge of the township, knowledge of all corners of the township and a genuine interest in working for the people of Blandford Blenheim Township."
"This municipality has done some great things in the last few years and I just hope to continue on with that, work with a great council and work to get things done for the great township."
Mordue says it will certainly be different taking direction from Blandford Blenheim council instead of giving it like he has for the previous 14 years as a councillor.
Mordue has 25 years experience with municipal government and has served as Director of Tax Revenue, Deputy Clerk-Treasurer as well as CAO/Clerk.
Mordue is taking over for retired CAO/Clerk Fran Bell.
