ONTARIO - The Ford Government is making changes to Ontario's Secondary School curriculum.
Announced this morning, Grade 10 students will get to learn more about mental health while taking Career Studies. The change will encourage students to recognize the signs of someone who is overwhelmed or struggling with mental health.
They will also learn more about the resources available for those who are struggling. The province is also introducing mandatory resources for Grade 7 and 8 Health and Phys Ed teachers.
The new programming, activities, and videos will help teach students about mental health and how they can manage stress.
