A new business in Woodstock will aim to help people with eating disorders. Nourish Your True Self, professional services for disordered eating is having an Open House on Thursday.
WOODSTOCK - An Open House on Thursday will shine a light about eating disorders.
Social worker Jenilee Halls and Registered Dietician Angie Cornwall are starting a business called Nourish Your True Self, providing professional services for people struggling with eating disorders. They are hosting an Open House on Thursday as it is Eating Disorder awareness week.
Halls explains why they wanted to start this business.
"We have noticed a gap in services and that is for wrap around services for people struggling with disordered eating or eating disorders and you can come on down to the Open House and meet us."
She says they will have plenty of information available at the Open House.
"At the Open House, you will hear about Nourish Your True Self and what Angie and I are bringing to the community in terms of wrap around support people struggling with eating disorders. We are also going to have information about other non-profit resources that are available in the area that can help anyone struggling with a relationship with food or diagnosed with an eating disorder. We will also be playing a little bit of my story, for people who don't know, I have my own recovery story with an eating disorder, so I will be sharing pieces of that at the Open House too."
The Open House runs from 5-7 pm this Thursday at 513 Dundas Street.
