Premier Doug Ford says Ontario is going to take a different approach than Quebec.
Premier Doug Ford says the Province will not be implementing a tax for the unvaccinated.
Earlier this week, Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced the Province will place a tax on the unvaccinated for putting a strain on the health system. Legault says unvaccinated people make up only 10 percent of the population in Quebec and yet make up 50% of the people in the ICU.
Premier Doug Ford was asked if Ontario would follow suit while touring the Toronto Zoo on Wednesday. He says Ontario will take a different approach.
"We aren't going down that road. We're going to take a different approach, but I implore, I ask, I beg every single person that’s not vaccinated please protect yourself, protect your family, protect coworkers. Please get your vaccination."
