Nobody was injured after a fire at a multi residential apartment building in downtown Waterford.
WATERFORD - Nobody was injured after a fire at a multi residential complex in Waterford.
Fire crews and the OPP were called to the building on Thursday afternoon. The fire started inside of the apartments in the building.
Fire Prevention Officer Michael Atkins says fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze and keep the fire contained to the one apartment building.
"It's really important and key to keep the doors close to keep fires from spreading, the occupant had the presence of mind to do that and that is what helped to keep the fire contained."
No word at this time as to what caused the fire. The apartment did suffer major damage, however estimates are not known at this time.
