You have until March 31st to nominate an individual, non-profit organization, or local small business for one of the Oxford County Tourism Awards of Excellence.
OXFORD COUNTY - Applications for the Oxford County Tourism Awards of Excellence are now open!
The County created the awards to help recognize and support the tourism industry in Oxford through COVID-19. Last year was the first year for the event, and it was a great success. The awards will feature three categories; Best New Tourism Product, Special Event of the Year, and Tourism Partnership.
Nominations for the awards are open to individuals, non-profit organizations, and local small businesses in Oxford. Businesses are being encouraged to self-nominate to ensure that all nomination information is correct.
Tourism Specialist Meredith Maywood is bringing in a panel of judges who are known in the Canadian Tourism industry.
"We are bringing in judges from outside Oxford County to judge the awards. For instance, the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario Vice President Carol Greenwood will be one of the judges, and will be participating in the award ceremony giving a presentation on what the TIAO does. We are very excited to have these people who are leaders in tourism across Ontario come together and see what is happening in Oxford County."
The deadline for submissions is March 31. Winners for the 2023 awards will be announced in June.
Information about the tourism awards and online nomination forms can be found online here.
