The 54 year-old Norfolk County man stole merchandise before police arrived and took him into custody. He had also stolen merchandise from the same store a few days before. He is scheduled to appear in a Simcoe courtroom at a later date.
NORFOLK COUNTY - A 54 year-old Norfolk County man is facing shoplifting charges after stealing items at a business on Queensway Street East in Simcoe.
Norfolk County OPP responded last Sunday at approximately 3:19 p.m, when the accused went into the store and stole merchandise. Officers then arrived and took the man into custody.
The man had also been involved in another incident two days before when he stole merchandise from the same store.
Police have charged the accused with two counts of theft under $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in a Simcoe courtroom at a later date.
