Norfolk County OPP Briefs

Briefs include a theft at a home in Windham and three unrelated incidents in Simcoe, including a break and enter.

WINDHAM - Norfolk County OPP are investigating an incident after they received a report of a theft at a home on Tisdale Side Road.

Police say the unknown suspects went to the home in the early morning hours on May 8th, and stole a licence plate from a trailer that was parked on the property.

The investigation is ongoing and Norfolk County OPP are looking for the public's help

SIMCOE - One individual has been charged with shoplifting at a store on Queensway East.

Norfolk County OPP responded to the incident on May 7th just after 11:30 am when the accused went into the store and stole merchandise and then fled from the area and went into another business that was nearby. 

An officer arrived at the address and then took the individual into custody without incident.

A 45 year-old man from Norfolk County has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of break in instruments and fail to comply with probation order.

He is scheduled to appear in a Simcoe courtroom at a later date.

SIMCOE - Norfolk County OPP are asking for the public's help after a bike was stolen from a home on Sheridan Boulevard.

They responded to the incident on May 7th and say the unknown suspects went to the home in between 10:00 a.m. and 2:40 p.m and stole an unlocked bicycle that was at the front of the house.

The bike is a BMX, with lime green handle bars and had "Haro" written on the frame.

The investigation is ongoing.

SIMCOE - Norfolk County OPP are investigating a break and enter after a bicycle was stolen from a home on Norfolk Street North.

They were called to the scene on May 6th after 12:30 pm and they say the unknown suspects went to the home in the early hours of the morning and got into the garage, which was unlocked.

Once they unknown suspects got inside of the garage, they stole a bicycle.

The bicycle is a black Diadora mountain bike with green writing and is valued at approximately $350.00.

The investigation is ongoing and Norfolk County OPP is looking for help from the public.
