The Norfolk OPP have laid charges after a collision and are investigating a theft, both of which took place in Delhi.
DELHI - The Norfolk OPP have laid charges after a traffic stop in Delhi.
This past Saturday, just before 2:50 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 3.
The stop took place after the ALPR system generated a notification and prompted further investigation into the driver's licence status. The driver was taken into custody, and the 33-year-old St. Thomas woman is facing 5 charges. Those charges are Obstruct Peace Officer, Driving while under suspension, Drive motor vehicle - no licence, Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine, and Fail to comply with Probation Order.
The passenger, a 46-year-old St. Thomas man, was also arrested and faces 1 charge. His charge is Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - methamphetamine.

DELHI - The Norfolk OPP are looking for a stolen SUV from Delhi.
Yesterday at 6 a.m., officers responded to the report of the stolen vehicle from a property on Rhineland Road. It has been determined that between Saturday and Sunday, a black 2007 Hummer H2 with the licence plate CFRM861 was taken.
