These are the last few school days for North Norwich Public School. The Thames Valley District School Board trustees announced its closure back in March of 2011. An official school board closing was held in the school's gym Thursday. Their Principal Leigh Pettit says the school is staying positive. "There is a certain amount of sadness over the closure of the school. But there's a lot of anticipation about the move to either East Oxford or Emily Stowe. [The students] are quite excited about the opportunities they'll have at a bigger school." Different grades sang and gave presentations at the closing ceremony. The Student's Council Prime Minister Tanner Buck thinks it touched everyone. "I think it was cool, it was a happy closing ceremony because we knew it was going to happen for a while and it's just a nice way to look back at everything that's happened at the school over the years." The around 180 students attending North Norwich will go to either East Oxford or Emily Stowe Public School come September.
