It's the largest fundraiser for the Optimist Club of Norwich and District.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP - You'll be able to hear the engines roaring throughout Norwich this weekend with the return of the Norwich T'N'T Pull.
It will take over the Rettie Farm on Friday and Saturday, located just north of Norwich at the corner of Highway 59 and Evergreen Street.
Media and Sponsorship Chair Dave Nash says this is an event for the whole family.
"Adrenaline and lots of kids' activities. You wouldn't think of a tractor pull having kids activities, we'll have bouncy castles, face painting, and glitter tattoos that are all free to the kids once they get inside the gates."
There will also be a vendor market along with live music outside the 19-plus beer garden on both nights.
A complimentary shuttle service will be provided on both nights to ensure everyone arrives home safely. Buses will leave for Norwich, Burgessville, Otterville, and Woodstock at 9:00 p.m., 10:00 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.
This is the 16th year for the Norwich T'N'T Pull, and Nash talks about the new aspects for the event.
"This year we have tried to split things up a little bit and make it a different show, and have the Great Lakes Premier Pulling as well as the Southwestern Tractor Pulling Association come in on board together. You will see a lot of new trucks and new tractors that we've never seen before.
The daily admission is $25 for adults (ages 13+), $10 for kids 5-12, and free for kids under four years old. Weekend passes cost $40 for adults and $10 for kids.
The gates will open at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, with pullers hitting the track at 6:00 p.m.
As for Saturday, the gates will open at 9:00 a.m., and some of the non-circuit farm tractors will hit the track at 10:00 a.m. There will be a break in the action for track maintenance at 4:00 p.m. before the pullers return at 6:00 p.m.
Information regarding possible weather-related delays or cancellations will be posted to the Norwich T'N'T Pull Facebook and Instagram pages. More information regarding the Norwich TNT Pull can also be found online here.
