Oxford OPP say a 30 year old person was drunk when they assaulted a police officer on Bond Street just after midnight Saturday.
INGERSOLL - A 30 year old from Ingersoll is accused of assaulting an OPP officer.
Officers were called to Bond Street just after midnight on Saturday about an unwanted person. When police arrived they located the unwanted person, who was clearly intoxicated.
During the investigation, police say the 30 year old assaulted one of the officers. They were arrested and charged with assault a Peace Officer.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
