The living wage in London Elgin and Oxford is $21.05, the lowest in the province.
OXFORD - We still have the lowest living wage rate in the province.
The Ontario Living Wage Network (OLWN) has released it's calculations for 2025.
It says the living wage in London Elgin and Oxford is $21.05. This is a slight increase compared to last year, when the living wage was $19.50.
The rate in Brant Haldimand Norfolk Niagara is slightly higher at $21.40 and the highest rate is in Greater Toronto Area with $27.20.
A living wage is the hourly wage someone needs to earn in order to cover their basic expenses and have a little extra to participate in community. It's based on a 35-hour work week.
