THAMES FIRST NATION - Middlesex OPP are investigating after a loaded firearm and drugs were found during a search warrant.
On Sunday, Thames First Nations Police responded to a report that a vehicle in question of stealing gas in Strathroy was spotted on the Chippewas of the First Nation Reserve.
Officers arrived at a residence on Jubilee Road. Two vehicles, including the one in question, attempted to flee the scene. One vehicle was successful and the other was apprehended.
It is unclear whether the car in question of the gas theft was caught.
It was discovered that the second vehicle was stolen from Oxford County. Officers also found large amounts of fentanyl in the vehicle, which lead to a warrant on the Jubilee residence.
During the search OPP found two firearms (one loaded), ammunition, methamphetamine and fentanyl. An ATV was also found on the property that was previously reported missing.
The investigation is still ongoing.
