All Ontarians over the age of 18 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine starting tomorrow.
ONTARIO - All adults over the age of 18 in Ontario will soon be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
The Ford Government will lower the age requirement to 18+ starting at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. This will affect all mass vaccination clinics, including the ones in Woodstock, Tillsonburg and St. Thomas.
Those who are 17-years-old about to turn 18 this year will also be able to book an appointment, but only for the Pfizer vaccine. Health Canada has approved the Pfizer shot for youth 12 and over.
Over seven million doses had been administered in Ontario as of Friday and the province is expected to receive 2.2-million doses this week.
You can find more information regarding local vaccine eligibility on the Southwestern Public Health website and you can book your vaccination appointment online here.
