ONTARIO - There is a push to ban financial incentives that lure doctors to certain municipalities in Ontario.
Several mayors have gone on record saying the recruitment tactic harms rural and northern communities that can't afford it.
Mayor of North Perth Todd Kasenberg says it's "an arms race" with no winners, so it should be banned in the province.
Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Matthew Shoemaker is taking it a step further, saying the it should be banned across the country, calling on the federal government to get involved.
