ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 299 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 544,414. The Province added 90 cases from 2020 to today's tally, so the real number today is 209.
The Province confirmed 25 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 9,154. The total number of deaths is also inflated due to the data review and clean up today according to Health Minister Christine Elliott.
Another 371 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 533,150.
The province completed 28,306 tests yesterday. We currently have 257 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 213 people in the ICU and 185 in the ICU on a ventilator. The majority of the cases are coming from hot spot regions with 130 new cases in Toronto, 69 in the Region of Waterloo, 20 in Peel Region, 11 in Grey Bruce, 10 in Durham Region and 10 in Niagara Region.
