ONTARIO - We have 16,713 new cases of COVID-19 in Ontario today.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says a total of 1,144 people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital and 205 of them are in the ICU.
She adds over 195,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered yesterday. A total of 90.8 percent of Ontarians over the age of 12 have received their first dose so far and 88.1 percent have been fully vaccinated with two doses.
The province will be updating it's COVID-19 numbers tomorrow due to the New Years Day holiday, so those numbers will be released on Sunday instead.

The seven-day rolling average of COVID-19 related patients in ICU is 185.
