The announcement today comes as Premier Doug Ford is said to be looking to speed up Ontario's reopening.
ONTARIO - It looks like the reopening of Ontario, could happen sooner than later.
Premier Doug Ford is expected to consider new regulations tomorrow to speed up the economic reopening timeline. This comes as Western other Provinces have removed vaccine passport and mask mandates.
The Premier has personally asked for new regulations to be drawn up to fast-track reopening according to reports from various medial outlets.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Moore confirmed that they are looking at all of the restrictions currently in place and will be making recommendations to the Province as soon as next week”
Ontario did announce today that they will be lifting Directive 2 to begin a gradual and cautious resumption of non-urgent and non-emergent surgeries and procedures across the province.
Also starting today, students will be able to once again do extra-curricular activities, including music and high-contact indoor sports in schools.
Students will need to wear masks and have on-site confirmation of screening.
