A joint project with Woodstock Police and Oxford OPP handed out 30 tickets. Operation Borders took the streets last Friday and focused on keeping the roads safe.
OXFORD COUNTY - A monthly project hit the streets on Friday, August 11th.
Community Service Officer with Woodstock Police, Special Constable Shaylyn Jackson says that teaming up with the OPP is able to extend their reach on the roads.
"Our Traffic Unit partnered up with the Oxford OPP to basically do a monthly Operation Borders project."
Jackson adds that this past edition was one that was a success in the eyes of both Police Services.
"Thirty tickets were issued on Friday during our Operation Borders initiative. That was split between the Woodstock Police and Oxford OPP that were participating."
The monthly project done by the two units focuses on the streets of Woodstock and those that border the "Friendly City" in Oxford County.
