It's for those who require a warm meal and/or companionship.
WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing is bringing back its Christmas Day event this holiday season.
Volunteers will serve a traditional turkey dinner at College Ave Church from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 25th.
Executive Director Tim Dukes says everyone is welcome.
"If you require a hot meal or you just want to be around some people on Christmas Day, come on out! It's a great event with an amazing meal and we'd love have anybody and everybody."
Marilyn Schmiedl has been running the event for several years now and she's expecting about 100 or more people. She also has a lot of people helping her this year.
"I have a group of volunteers that I've had for a few years, plus a new group of volunteers coming. I also have some parents coming with students on December 24th to help prep so they can get volunteer hours."
Those who attend the Christmas Day event will also receive one of the leftover gifts from The Christmas Place.
