Here are a couple of police stories from over the weekend with local connections.
SHAKESPEARE - West Perth OPP is investigating a stolen skid steer.
The incident is said to have happened between June 5th at 8:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. on the 6th. It was a yellow New Holland Compact Track Loader taken from a business property on Perth Line 34, in the Municipality of West Perth, and it is believed to have travelled north on Road 150.
The value of the stolen loader is almost $130,000.

MIDDLESEX CENTRE - A traffic stop leads to charges for a Woodstock resident.
Yesterday just after 2:10 p.m. the Middlesex County OPP conducted a stop on Longwoods Road due to someone speeding.
During the stop, the 20-year-old Woodstock resident registered an alert on the roadside Approved Screening Device. As a result, they are facing a 3-day licence suspension plus a charge of speeding 1 to 49 km/h over the posted limit and being a young driver with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.
