OPP Briefs

Briefs include a robbery in Delhi and police are searching for three people peering into windows and taking pictures in Paris.

PARIS - Brant County OPP are looking for three people taking pictures and peering into various windows on Spruce Street in Paris.

OPP say a black SUV was spotted in the area on Monday night. The driver, a man exited vehicle and was taking pictures and peering into people's homes. A second man was spotted in the passenger seat and a woman was in the back of the SUV. 

Security surveillance cameras in the area captured the vehicle and the unknown individuals and police will be making attempts to identify them. The OPP is reminding all community residents that if they see suspicious behaviour or vehicles in their community to immediately contact their local police authority.

The County of Brant OPP is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

DELHI - No one was seriously injured after a daytime robbery in Delhi on Wednesday.

Police say the victim and the robber knew each other. The robbery happened at the victims home on Bell Street late Wednesday afternoon. The suspect came to the home and demanded money. The pair started arguing, and then the suspect assaulted the victim according to police and fled the scene on foot. The victim suffered minor injuries.  

As a result, police identified the suspect involved in this particular incident and have confirmed that there is no threat to public safety. Investigators are in the process of seeking an arrest warrant and are continuing to follow up with witnesses.
